Dean’s List - 2023 Nov 17 Recognized Over 70 students with Formal Pinning Ceremony More than 70 Allied Health students recited the Health Occupation Creed in unison and were pinned in a formal ceremony in late October at the college. Nathaneal "Nate" Jean-Phillippe, a business administration major, from Lancaster, Pa., was awarded the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Award for Leadership. Achievement (Other) - 2023 Mar 1 GIANT Workers Graduate from Management Training at Twenty-five team members from the GIANT Company went through a different kind of check-out line at on November 9, 2022. They each finished their "shopping" excursion by filling up their cart with valuable management skills. Their graduation was held at ’s Conference Center, followed by a celebratory luncheon with family and friends, along with GIANT and college staff. The graduates completed the classes as part of the GIANT University Department Manager Business Academy, taught by faculty. This is the second class to graduate from the Academy. Honor Society - 2023 May 31 Chapter of Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society Inducts 36 New Members The Chapter of the Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society recently inducted its newest members in a ceremony held at the Capital Blue Cross Theatre. Academic Award - 2022 Nov 22 ’s Lancaster Center recognizes Allied Health students Congratulations to 22 studentsfrom ’s Lancaster Centerwho recently received their Allied Health pins at a ceremony in Lancaster. The well-attended ceremony signaled the successful completion of the academic portion of the Allied Health degrees for 17 Physical Therapist Assistant students and five Medical Assisting Diploma students. Academic Award - 2021 Nov 18 Fall term scholarships awarded by Education Foundation During the current fall term, 116 students were awarded $110,000 in scholarships by the college’s Education Foundation. "For nearly two decades, the Education Foundation has been making a difference in the lives of our students by helping make college more affordable," said Sandy Box, director of the nonprofit organization. "Over the last 18 months, our mission has never been more critical, as our students continued to pursue their dreams in the midst of a global pandemic." During the previous academic year (2020-2021), the Foundation awarded $267,750 to 315 Central Penn students. Students can apply for scholarships in August and February; awards are then given in the fall and spring terms, respectively.
